What can design contribute to innovations that serve pleasure, desire and satisfaction? The answer came in January / February at the iF Design Exhibition and found its conclusion with a special evening event on Valentine's Day.
In Jan/Feb we celebrated our longstanding partnership with EIS. In addition to the exhibition lasting several weeks, the after-work event on Valentine's Day attracted over 100 guests to talk with André Bierbaß, Ann-Marlene Henning and us.
Here we tried to tackle the subject of sexual gratification, which is one of humanity's most basic needs, a little less cramped than usual. And that worked quite well. Maybe also because we had colleagues for whom Sexual Wellbeing is just another topic within otherwise classic innovation development projects. In terms of technology and product design, we are after all professionals and it does not matter if it's a vibrator or an industrial vacuum cleaner: we aim for human-first and put that at the heart of every product development and innovation. This is also central to EIS, Germany's leading online retailer of intimate lifestyle products, and no less to sexologist Ann-Marlene Henning.
Together with the audience we discussed the charm of penguin satisfyer, the possibilities in online retail and of course the value of a relaxed attitude when it comes to love, lust and passion.
