Due to the current situation we are facing worldwide, we would like to share with you some of the most useful tips and tricks we have found & experienced/tested in order to increase our productivity while working from home, so feel free to share them or implement them.
1. Stay connected
/ Make sure to download the right connection tools
/ Get all cables and connections running.
/ Get an additional screen or keyboard (depending on room and needs).
2. Share your contact information
/ Share these details in your current e-mail signature
3. Organize yourself - work with schedules.
/ Create daily meetings to follow up with your colleagues.
69% of remote workers say call clarity has a major impact on their effectiveness or remote meetings
Set your home office to a comfortable temperature. Remember that it is important to breathe fresh air as well, so we recommend that you open the nearest window to your workplace from time to time.
Workers seated by a window with lots of natural light reported an 84% drop in eye stain, headaches and blurred vision.
When it comes to working from home, comfort is a key, invest in a good office chair or try to use comfortable furniture focusing on the support of your spinal curves. Whether it´s a standing desk or a yoga ball.
/ Place your monitor, laptop, working tool at eye level, and an arm´s length away.
/ Sit with your feet on the ground and keep your legs at a 90° to 120°
/ Your elbows should rest at a 90° to 120° angle close to your body.
If you want to work comfortably, then you need to choose the proper lightning. Poor lightning causes eye stain, headaches, stress, and a lot of problems. Thus one of the easiest things you can do to boost productivity is to improve the lightning of your remote work station.
Brighten up a bit and listen to some music while you work. Let's take advantage of all those amazing playlists and help explode our creativity. There a no co-workers minding your taste of music.
Invest in some green! When it comes to enhancing home office productivity, green plants have numerous benefits: less dust, more oxygen, better indoor climate. Did you know that home office plants boost productivity by 15%?
And as always: Schedule your daily tasks reasonable and responsible. Working remotely doesn’t mean you have no lunch break or work around the clock. Start early, end when done and just be productive in the comfort of your (temporary) home office space.
