Until April 22nd, “designxport” presents a different kind of exhibition: “BAD DESIGN // GOOD DESIGN,” contrasts an interesting range of products, spanning the senseless, superfluous and inoperable, to the user friendly, sustainable and successful.
What is bad design? What is important criteria for being rated as good design? Designxport asked 19 product and industrial designers from Hamburg, and we were on the panel. The answer was not that easy for us, because there were a lot of examples for each category. But, in the end, we made our decision:
Flop: The new Magic Mouse’ from Apple, whose special “Magic” arises in it being totally useless while charging; its charging port is on its bottom, and requires the product to be flipped on its back.
Top: The new Evos Ci gas cylinder valve concept we developed for Linde—a revolutionary interlocking system which includes an innovative super protective guard that pushing safety and handling to a higher level: http://www.indeed-innovation.com/case/linde
